Devils vs Oilers

2-1 Devils FINAL

Tonight's Game

No Draisaitl, no points from Hyman tonight, an odd dark cloud over the scoring, perhaps a let-down after the huge NUGE night. Missing Kapanen, and their star Draisaitl (three games in a row), too much to overcome. Jarry had a very good game in goal for the Oilers, but so did the Devils' Allen.

Devils have a hot hand, winning 4 of 5. They are showing a strong road game.

2-1 Devils FINAL in Edmonton

 Edmonton Oilers - New Jersey Devils - Jan 20, 2026 | NHL.com

The last game between these two teams was in NEWARK, NJ when the Devils outlasted the Oilers 5-3 on Oct 18, 2025, at Prudential Center, despite Edmonton’s 7-1 shot lead early in the first, Evan Bouchard’s gaffes, including a turnover for Connor Brown’s shorthanded goal, swung momentum. Curtis Lazar’s first Oiler goal at 19:58.3 sparked his old rink, but Jack Hughes’ four points powered NJ’s control.
